Summer 2012 Message from the Chair

I am honored to serve as the current Chair of the Board and would first like to express my sincere gratitude to my colleagues on the Board for the time and effort they so generously offer. Thank you for your dedication and your valuable contribution.

Next, I would like to discuss an issue of critical importance: the need for dentists and their staff to maintain accurate, comprehensive, legible, and detailed records. Failure to do so is a common thread among the disciplinary cases brought before the board. Maintaining complete dental charting and records results in a more professional service and can help prevent possible disciplinary action.

Finally, I would like to invite you to a future meeting of the Board. We meet quarterly in major cities around the State. Attending these meetings is an excellent way to keep abreast of activities as well as earning 3 hours of CE credit per meeting.

Best wishes,

Wade Winker, DDS
